Miserable

-*Note: This is a new thing for me, though I always wanted to try writing from the perspective of the opposite sex. I don’t know if I quite caught the right idea, but let me know what you think.

———

“Don’t leave me miserable.”

I said it to him as he slammed the door,
ripped open his car door,
peeled out of the driveway,
and sped off down the street.
I watched him from the window,
and a single tear rolled down my cheek.
I don’t want him angry,
because I know it’s my fault,
and I’m too fragile to be left in the dark.
I need his strength to guide me,
his eyes to see through the lies and inconsistencies
his love to lead me through it all.
But he sped off into the distance,
and left me behind.
I’m not on his mind anymore.
And for the only time in our life together,
he didn’t listen to what I asked him.

I don’t know whether this works or not (I’m a bloke, too), but the idea is great – think yourself into someone else’s life. Worth doing both from a poetic and a real-life perspective.

I lose the plot…I love your work..thank you
